Use your own LUTs#
Import a LUT
- Open Settings › Looks and tap Import LUT…, then choose one or more .cube files in Files. Or share a .cube file to MoviePro from Files, or open one received by AirDrop.
- Check the name MoviePro proposes, change it if you like, and tap Import, or Import All for several. Importing only adds the LUTs to your library; nothing changes on the camera yet.
- A file that arrives during a take, or while Settings is open, waits: it is listed under Waiting to import at the top of Settings › Looks; tap it to finish importing. The take is not interrupted.
| MoviePro accepts | Refused, with the reason |
|---|---|
| Single 3D .cube files, 2 to 65 points per side, up to 20 MB. | A .zip LUT pack (unzip it in Files first); a 1D LUT; a grid larger than 65; a file still in iCloud (download it in Files first); a file already imported. |
Use it on the camera
- In Pro, tap the look chip at the top of the screen. Imported LUTs are listed under IMPORTED, in every color mode; on Log formats they follow the built-in views.
- Tap a LUT to apply it to the preview. MIX, under the list, blends it with the original, from 0 to 100 %.
- To record through it, turn on Bake LUT in recording in Settings › Looks. The receipt then reads the LUT's name, for example Film Print · baked, or Film Print · 50% · baked below 100 % Mix.
Manage LUTs
In Settings › Looks, swipe a LUT to rename or delete it, or use Edit. Show imported LUTs hides the whole IMPORTED group from the camera's menu without deleting anything; each LUT also has its own switch. A preset saves the selected look, its Mix and the bake switch; a preset naming a LUT this phone does not hold applies, and the menu shows Look unavailable.
Baking works for single-camera takes up to 60 fps. Mix cannot change during a baked take. Dual Capture, ProRes RAW and Long-Record Mode record without the look. If the selected LUT cannot be loaded, recording does not start and the alert names the look.
