TermMeaning
ApertureThe lens opening. A smaller f-number admits more light. Adjustable only on iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max.
Aperture priorityƒ fixed; ISO and shutter automatic.
Shutter priorityShutter fixed; ISO automatic (iOS 27 or later).
CodecThe method used to encode video, such as HEVC or ProRes.
Frame rateThe number of recorded frames per second.
Shutter angleExposure time expressed as a portion of one frame interval.
White balanceThe adjustment that makes neutral objects appear neutral under the light.
TermMeaning
TintThe green-magenta component of white balance.
LogA recording curve intended for color management or grading.
BakeApply a conversion to the saved recording instead of only displaying it.
HDRHigh dynamic range; requires a suitable display and playback path.
TimecodeA time label used to identify frames and align material in an editing workflow.
SlateInformation used to identify a project, scene, and take.
