15.1

Review and share recordings#

Find and inspect a take

  1. Open Library from Pro's utility controls.
  2. Use Find to filter the grid, or change the sort order.
  3. Tap a clip to play it. Open its information panel to inspect the recorded format and reported issues.

Favorites and Good Takes mark the clips to keep; the Issues filter finds clips that need attention. Find filters the grid; it is not a text search.

Share one or more clips

Tap Select, choose the clips, tap Share and pick a destination; check the copies there when it finishes. Send clips with AirDrop

Delete a clip

Select the intended clips and choose Delete. Read the confirmation before proceeding. Check any separately saved Photos or Files copies at their own destinations.

Check a clip's details#

Tap INFO (1) in the player to see what was recorded; the details stay with the clip after the receipt is gone. Rows appear only when the clip has that information. Read the Take Receipt

Send clips with AirDrop#

AirDrop sends the original recording to a nearby Mac, iPhone or iPad under its slate name, the same name it has in App Library. Naming: How Next Clip names files.

Send a clip

  1. Open Library, tap Select and choose one or more clips. Share in the clip player and on the full receipt works the same way.
  2. Tap Share, then AirDrop, and select the receiving device.
  3. On a Mac, open Downloads and play the file before removing the clip from the iPhone or iPad.

What arrives

A clip recorded without a project arrives as MP-0043.mov, or MP-0043_S03_T004.mov with scene and take logging on. Each file is the full original with the project, scene and take in its metadata, so long or ProRes takes are large.
